The Moscow International Motor Show (MIAS) cannot be called a cult event for the world community. However, this is an interesting and important event for Russian motorists. This year the exhibition will be held from August 29 to August 31 at the Crocus Expo, about a dozen car manufacturers, including foreign ones, will take part in it. This is not very much, but the quality of the exhibits takes precedence over their quantity.

20. Hyundai Santa Fe
Already the minimum equipment of this crossover includes all the necessary systems for a comfortable trip, including dual-zone climate control and cruise control, rear parking sensors and an intelligent HTRAC all-wheel drive control system. There is even a full-size spare wheel.
Under the hood of the car is a 2.4-liter gas-eating engine (188 hp), combined with a six-speed automatic transmission. For diesel worshipers, a model with a 2.2-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 200 hp is provided. and eight-speed automatic transmission.
19. Lada Vesta Sport
The flagship of the “okay” model range will not differ in appearance and interior from its prototype two years ago. The front arches are expanded for 17-inch wheels, and in the bumpers are: bifurcated exhaust, diffuser and false air ducts. An important element in the design of the interior trimmed with eco-leather - red Alcantara inserts. They give the car an aggressive and yet stylish look.
145 hp 1.8-liter engine can accelerate a car to a top speed of 198 km / h. In the role of a faithful "partner" of the motor is a five-speed manual gearbox.
18. Hyundai Tucson
Changes to this crossover are mostly cosmetic. He got a new front bumper, a massive grille and fully LED headlights. The screen of the multimedia system is removed from the central panel and hangs over the dashboard. Hyundai Tucson wheels can be 17-, 18- or 19-inch. The design of the dashboard and vents of the ventilation system has been improved.
17. Lada Xray Cross
For two years now, the cross-version of the hatchback Lada XRAY has the status of a concept. It's time to present it as a production version.
Due to the plastic body kit, the dimensions of the car increased: the length increased by 6 mm (up to 4171 mm), and the width - by 46 mm (up to 1810 mm). Thanks to the increased clearance and luggage rails on the roof, the height has also changed - by 75 mm (up to 1645 mm).
Now, Ixrey Cross will be able to install tires 215/50 R17, while the current generation of the hatchback can only boast a dimension of 205/50 R17.
16. Geely SX11
The Chinese automaker will present in Russia its crossover Geely SX11. This is the first-born Geely Automobile, based on the latest BMA platform, created by the company's specialists.
The power structure of the SUV was developed taking into account the achievement of the five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. Seventy percent of the body parts of the SX11 are made of high tensile steel, and twenty percent are made of stainless steel.
The price of the car will be about a million rubles.
15. Geely Borui GE
2015 Russian owners of Borui models of the year 2015 are known as Emgrand GT.
The hybrid hybrid GE sedan is powered by a 1.56-liter turbo engine from Volvo XC40 with 156 hp. Previously, the technical "lotions" from this Swedish company Geely used only for the auto brand Lynk & Co.
On electricity alone, the Borui GE hybrid is capable of driving up to 60 kilometers, and the average fuel consumption is some 1.5 l / 100 km. Just a find, given the constant rise in price of fuel.
14. UAZ Patriot
UAZ continues to improve one of the most popular cars with manual transmission in Russia. Among the best innovations of MIAS-2018 will be presented an SUV with a powerful (150 hp) ZMZ Pro engine, a modified front suspension and improved steering. These changes made it possible to reduce the turning radius by 0.8 meters.
13. Volkswagen Polo Joy
German cars are loved in Russia, and Polo is one of the most popular models. Now she has a special version with the name Joy. It is advisable to purchase it as quickly as possible, because only 50 thousand copies will go on sale. The most important changes in Joy are related to additional equipment and improvement of the exterior.
The top version of the Polo Joy will come with a 7-band dual-clutch robotic gearbox. Other models will have to be content with a 5-speed manual transmission (in the 1.6-liter version of the engine) and a 6-speed manual transmission or “automatic” (in the 1.4-liter version).
12. Renault Arkana
If most automakers will present updated models at the Moscow Motor Show, then the French Renault will introduce a completely new model - the luxury Arkana coupe-crossover. It is based on the Global Access platform and is superior in size to both Kaptur and Duster.
Russia will be the first country in which sales of Renault Arkana begin. It will be followed by other countries, including the huge Chinese market.
11. Renault Logan Stepway
Another novelty of the Moscow Motor Show-2018 from the French automaker. This off-road sedan is the first of the Logan family to have a variator. Logan Stepway will differ from a usual sedan by the clearance increased to 195 mm and additional protection on the lower part of a body.
10. Volkswagen I.D
This electric sedan with a folding steering wheel is still a concept, but the manufacturer is going to launch it in a series in 2019. It is based on the MEB electromobile platform and has an autonomous control system. A 111 kW / h battery provides a range of 665 km without recharging. Two electric motors on each axis of the sedan give a total power of 306 hp.
9. Haval F7
The Chinese company Haval, which is the daughter of Great Wall, will bring to the MIAS 2018 the premiere of the F7 crossover. And only there will its characteristics become finally clear. Some sources claim that the car is 4910 mm long, and its wheelbase is 2850 mm. Others claim that these numbers are incorrect, and the correct ones are 4620 mm and 2725 mm, respectively.
It is nice that Haval trusted the Russian specialist to assemble new crossovers. For this, a plant was built in the Tula region, and the first cars will go off the assembly line next year.
8. Hyundai IONIQ
Another electric car, but not from the German, but from the Korean company. It was already shown in Russia in 2018, at the INNOPROM exhibition in Yekaterinburg. And now Muscovites will be able to watch it.
The buyer will be able to choose an electric car with one of three power units - Hybrid, Plug-In Hybrid and Electric. But at the Moscow Motor Show you can only admire the model with Electric.
Hyundai IONIQ received a five-star EURO NCAP award, as well as a Red Dot Award for its elegant design. The manufacturer gives an eight-year warranty on the battery of this car.
7. Lifan
Perhaps this is the most popular Chinese auto brand in Russia. And he will bring three brand-new cars to the Crocus Expo at once - an 820EV electric car, an M7 minivan and an X80 seven-seater crossover. It is known that the crossover will certainly be delivered to Russia. But how things will be with the first two is still unknown.
6. KIA Stinger
At the Moscow Motor Show in 2018, the debut of the most anticipated 2018 KIA Stinger car, equipped with a choice of a 2.0 T-GDI or a 3.3-liter biturbo V6 engine, will take place. The power of the basic version is reduced to 247 hp. to reduce transport tax. It can accelerate to one hundred kilometers per hour in just 6 seconds.
The more powerful version has under the hood 370 hp. and accelerates to hundreds in just 4.9 seconds.
5. KIA Sorento Prime
Fundamental changes in this crossover should not be expected. However, work on it was quite serious. Have been updated:
- radiator grill - became chrome;
- daytime running lights were integrated into LED optics;
- modernized roof spoiler;
- the exhaust pipes were doubled;
- more stylish bumpers appeared;
- added red brake calipers;
- tire sizes range from 17 to 19 inches.
4. KIA Picanto X-Line
And another novelty that KIA boasts at the Moscow Motor Show is the updated Picanto X-Line hatchback. It is equipped with a three-cylinder 1-liter gasoline “heart” with a capacity of 100 hp. This is the most powerful engine for the little KIA Picanto. In 10.1 seconds, the car accelerates to the “hundredths”, and on the way it consumes 4.5 liters for every hundred kilometers.
3. Lada Granta
The presentation of Lada Grant took place on the eve of Crocus Expo 2018, so no sensations are expected. But walking around and looking at this beauty in four body styles will be interesting.
The new Granta family has changed the design of the taillights, trunk and interior, so that you can immediately see the car's belonging to the X-style. The engine size remained the same - 1.6 liters, but its power is different (87, 98 and 106 hp). There are three gearboxes to choose from - manual transmission, automatic transmission and "robot".
2. JAC Motors
One of the leaders in the automotive industry in China will bring two new products to the Moscow Motor Show. One of them is the JAC S3 SUV, with a 1.6-liter engine and 118 hp. Already in the basic configuration, it has air conditioning, heated mirrors and the most modern security systems.
And the second is another crossover JAC S5, with a two-liter engine rated at 134 hp and a five-speed manual transmission. In the basic version, he has the same as his colleague, plus MP5.
1. Aurus Senat
The stand of the Russian brand Aurus (also known as the Cortege project) is likely to attract increased public attention. After all, he produces cars designed for top officials of the state. But not every luxurious “facade” has powerful armor; Aurus has a regular civilian luxury transport. This is exactly what will be shown among the best models of MIAS-2018. Senat sedan can not boast of armor, but it has a leather interior made in Russia, decorated with precious wood. Aurus Senat sales should begin in 2019. If everything goes according to plan, then a VIP SUV and a minivan will join the sedan.
And attention to the automotive field replacement. The Uzbek company Ravon refused to participate in the Moscow Motor Show, but it does not matter. In its place came the Iranian automaker, who sold Samand cars in Russia. It is not yet known what kind of novelties the Iranians will show.
